Knitting and Fiber Arts Programs
Source: Philly Knits
Description: The Philly Knits lesson plans for Philly Art Teachers to use as a way to teach sewing to kids rather than relying on volunteers and after school programs. Helps students have fun in class and work together and learn a new skill. Their mission is to spread the joy of the Fiber Arts – knitting, crochet, and other fiber skills. Meetups occur in various places, and promote the “fiber arts” to schools, libraries, community centers, etc. The Fiber Arts are good for the brain; it can relax or challenge you, as it connects us to one another as well as to the other arts and sciences.
