Description: UNA-GP collaborates with several local and national organizations in addition to the United Nations itself to create opportunities for school-aged youth and young adult Philadelphians to learn about the UN and become more globally-minded.  UNA-GP’s special interests are human rights and refugees’ issues, and hosts numerous annual events such as Peace Day, an alternative MUN, and Sport for Development and Peace. Also, UNA-GP sponsors the Blue Nook Project which encourages schools and libraries to create a small space dedicated to displays focused on knowledge about the UN.  UNA-GP will supply some free materials for the Blue Nook.
